WARRANTY & RETURNS

GENERAL WARRANTY POLICY

 

All barebone kits and custom systems (assembled by TierraTek) include a 1-year limited warranty. The warranty covers the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for 1 year. This warranty may be extended by contract for up to 5 years total. Damages due to abuse, misuse, accident, improper handling, neglect, alterations, or unauthorized repair or modifications will void warranty. Warranty servicing includes diagnostics and service for  repair, replacement and/or substitution as may be appropriate. Return authorization is required for all returns.

Individual peripherals and components are under manufacturer warranty. TierraTek will help facilitate the warranty, which is the extent of our obligation unless alternate agreement has been made at the time of order. 
Manufacturer warranty for components and barebones kits ranges from 1 to 5 years, or even lifetime warranty in some cases, and TierraTek will be glad to help you apply for the warranty at the manufacturer after our warranty period expires.

RETURN AUTHORIZATION

 

All merchandise returned to TierraTek must have a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. . Please do not return any merchandise without a valid RMA number as it will be rejected.  

To receive an RMA number, please contact our returns department at "support@tierratek.com" or by calling us at 714-252-4868 and provide the following information:
Order Number
Product Serial Number
Detailed description of the problem
Troubleshooting steps taken (if applicable)
Return type:  Refund, Exchange, Warranty Service


An RMA number for custom systems will be issued within 1  day and remains valid for 30 days.

Component return authorization may be contingent upon acceptance of RMA from manufacturer. TierraTek may have you send the defective component or peripheral item directly to the manufacturer (instead of TierraTek) to help expedite your replacement time.

 

 

RETURNS HANDLING

 

General
Please remember to include your RMA number when returning merchandise for any reason. The RMA number will determine how your return is handled and will also allow us to track the status of a return for any questions that you may have regarding it. Shipping fees will not be refunded or reimbursed. Restocking fees may apply. (Please see below.) If items received are not eligible for processing, you are responsible for return shipping. Items left for 90 days will become the property of TierraTek.

Return for Refund
Eligibility: Within 30 days of shipment; No custom built computer or special order item is eligible. Item is requited to be from from damage (superficial or otherwise) to the product, product packaging, components or accessories. Once eligibility has been established, the refund will be issued within 2-3 business days to the original payment source. Shipping fees and PayPal service fees will not be refunded or reimbursed. Restocking fees will apply

Return for Exchange
Eligibility: Within 30 days of shipment; I
tem is requited to be from from damage (superficial or otherwise) to the product, product packaging, components or accessories. Once eligibility has been established, arrangements for the exchange will be made as well as any payment balance cleared. Non-defective items will incur a shipping fee. Restocking fee may apply to non-warranty exchanges.


Warranty Servicing
Custom built computers will be bench tested for diagnostics. Our technicians will determine the cause of the issue and will repair the product to factory standard. TierrTek will repair or replaced components at their discretion. Parts will not be substituted without authorization of the customer. Testing will be performed before the units are given a clean bill of health, including bench testing and diagnostics before being prepared for return shipping. The technician in charge will reach out to you if your input is required. The estimated turnaround time for a warranty service is 2 weeks after we receive the item.

 

RESTOCKING FEES

 

All items may be subject to 15% restocking fees. Waiving the restocking fee will be at the sole discretion of TierraTek.


order cancelLation


Orders for Special Order and Non-Returnable items cannot be cancelled. Orders for all other items can be cancelled up until the order has shipped.


Refunds


Refunds are made to your payment method as quickly as possible after confirmation of product return or cancellation of order.


Paypal


Your selection to use PayPal as a payment method is for your convenience.

PayPal service fees charged to us are deducted from your refund if you cancel your order.

We can only ship your order to the Paypal Confirmed Address when paying with Paypal. We will do our best to notify you but it is the customer responsibility to ensure their confirmed address is updated.

 

DAMAGED PRODUCTS

 

Products and components that are damaged will not be eligible for refund, exchange or warranty service. Paid service for repair will be quoted if the service is available.

 

NON-RETURNABLE PRODUCTS

 

The following products cannot be returned (not all inclusive):

  • Hardware licenses & Software licenses
  • Custom Built Computers
  • Items for which you are notified 
  • Clearance items
